I'm a mess in breaking habits, should I learn how to let things go? You asked me if this was about you. I said no, but oh it was. We've spent most of our time looking far into the future skies, not seeing where we were going or how things started changing. We can not direct the wind but can we adjust the sails? If we're at the end of the rope, it's maybe better to let go. If you believe that we'll find another way, another way around this, then I'll have hope again. The man who fights and runs away may live to fight another day. Is there a way out of my head? I should really learn to let things go. You're thinking everything's about you. I'm sorry, nothing really is about you. Because we've found faith in the bottom of bottles, misprized everything that laid down before us, climbing mountaintops, realising it was the drop that we're frightened of. You know that you lost something. Like a part of you, but most of all a part of me. I must be the man I never was or been before. It's time to grow up, boy, it's time to let things go.

Mileage 04:00
Is it too far to drive and do you feel like losing time? Is it the distance that still bothers you or the voices in your mind that tell you: Oh, I'm not ready for this. Because a kiss with you is a chance to fall into the great abyss, of loving this… Over and over again. We'll be asleep for another day. I never saw this coming. And it's okay to tell me what you think about me, But should I wait along the way? Because I can’t change the miles that I did by foot. Come on get up your feet, this never was a dead end street. And although the road may seem long, there’s no price to pay, only a ridge to overcome. And everytime that I let my guard down I fall in love with another exit sign. If I was so afraid of pulling through, why do I see a brighter future with you? And I’ve walked for hours and all I know is that this bridge won’t hold us both. If you reach the other side, there’s a chance that you and I might make it out alive. Over and over and over again, the mileage done and the road won’t end. We'll be asleep for another day. I never saw this coming. And it's okay to tell me what you think about me. But should I wait along the way?
Because I can’t change the miles that I did by foot because the mileage done led me to you.

Will I ever understand these tides of life? How they change with the wind, how they changed you and I? Look at the waves, see how they crash for you. Look at the waves child, see how they crash into. Everything you know is hanging by a thread. Everything you love is soon to be dead. I believe that dying means “having lived”, so I rather spend my days knowing that I’m not wasting anything. So where did they go? What did the last past years turn into? I guess we will never know, so wake me up if it’s time to go.

So there you go, back in the gutter, right where you came from. Did you even care about this at all? I was looking for something, something that would amaze me. Another rush, another lesson right there in front of me. You'll get there, girl, following them into everything you're not. Stop pretending we're okay, you've got to listen to me. Because I have got some things left to say, something buried, left for dead, but still inside of me. Isn't it time to dig it up, isn't it time that I should spill my guts over everything you ever touched? And where were you when I was holding on to better things that would pull me through? Is it a game you play or is life just a joke to you? And over everything you ever loved. Because if you don’t need me and I don’t need you, where the hell did we both get into? Discover the right way that will lead you nowhere; I guess that’s the price you pay. Find cover and hide away. Don’t you worry , my dear, we’ll never speak again. I was looking for something, something that could amaze me. Another rush, another lesson right there in front of me. But if you don’t need me and I don’t need you, where the hell did we both get into?

We’ve been in doubt for far too long, always denying the truth that haunts. Where is the sun, where is the sun? Have we been running away from it all? Where is the sun, where is the sun? Where is the sun, our only sun? We’ve been running in circles again, desperately looking for time to spend with every single one of you, and every heart that always knew what a killer time can be, a waiting game, a child in need, a remedy that comes too late. Eventually we will all… Burn, burn, burn away. All the birds have fled this barren land. Burn, learn, found out the hard way that darker times need light to change. For so long, we’ve waited for so long. For so long we stare and wait for… The solstice is coming closer, don't you know? The solstice brings back the light the darkness stole The solstice is coming closer, don't you know? The solstice, the solstice… The solstice made me believe that I can be whoever I feel I should be. You think I'm running away from all of this, but I'm seeing colours again. No more room for a guilty conscience, because in the light of the midnight sun, life returns. If not, we're done. We’re gone.
